Animal Liberation Qld has today marked the 2 year anniversary of the groundbreaking 4 Corners 'Making a Killing' exposé into the greyhound racing industry.
MEDIA RELEASE For Immediate Release – 24 October 2016  
Brisbane, 7th October 2015 – Animal Liberation Queensland today launched a billboard campaign at Brisbane’s Central Station highlighting the widespread killing, or ‘wastage’, of dogs and puppies in the greyhound racing industry.
“It sounds like the Townsville Greyhound Racing Club is attempting to blackmail Racing Queensland for further funding, threatening the lives of 300 healthy greyhounds”, said Animal Liberation Qld President Mr Chay Neal. 
Animal Liberation Qld is calling for Tony Zammit, President of Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers Association, to either resign or be sacked.
16 February, 2015 70 Australian greyhound trainers, including leading identities, have been implicated in illegal and brutal training methods - where live animals are tied to mechanical lures and dogs incited to chase and kill them.  
12th October 2014 Logan community members and a coalition of greyhound protection groups have turned out in force to loudly protest state government plans to build a new greyhound racing track at Cronulla Park, Slacks Creek.
