Help us ban greyhound racing

UPDATE: On 7 July 2016, the NSW government announced greyhound racing would be banned in the state by 1 July 2017 (see announcement here). Join us in calling on Queensland to follow the lead of NSW in banning greyhound racing here.

In February 2015, investigations by Animal Liberation Queensland and Animals Australia exposed widespread live baiting practices in the greyhound racing industry. You can watch the Four Corners expose here

Since the expose, the industry has been in the spotlight and more cruelty has been uncovered – further reported live baiting, the discovery of mass graves and the routine killing of thousands of healthy dogs (termed ‘wastage’). Its own governing body, Greyhounds Australasia, recently admitted that this ‘wastage' is “indefensible”.
